Welcome to Grit Journals. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the gritjournals.com website, the Space by Grit Journals mobile application (the “App”), our physical guided journals, and our 1:1 meditation sessions (collectively, the “Services”).

These Services are operated by Alexandra Kozma (“we,” “us,” “our”), registered in Hungary.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Medical and Mental Health Disclaimer

Grit Journals does not provide medical or psychiatric advice. The content in our journals, the Space app, and our 1:1 meditation sessions are designed for educational, mindfulness, and self-care purposes only.

  • Our Services are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read, heard, or experienced through Grit Journals.

  • If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a licensed therapist immediately.

2. Physical Journals (Amazon KDP)

Our physical guided journals are printed, sold, and fulfilled by Amazon (Kindle Direct Publishing).

  • Purchases & Shipping: When you purchase a physical journal, your transaction is processed by Amazon. Shipping times, delivery, and customer service regarding physical fulfillment are handled entirely by Amazon.

  • Returns & Refunds: Any returns or refunds for physical journals are subject to Amazon’s standard return policies. You must initiate returns through your Amazon account.

3. Space by Grit Journals (The App)

The Space app will be available via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions: If you purchase a premium subscription, payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

  • Refunds: Because app payments are processed by Apple and Google, we cannot directly issue refunds for in-app purchases. You must request refunds directly through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store according to their respective policies.

4. 1:1 Online Meditation Sessions

We offer private, 1:1 online meditation sessions booked via Calendly and paid via Stripe.

  • Booking & Payment: Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your time slot.

  • Cancellation & Rescheduling: You may reschedule or cancel your session up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time for a full refund or free rescheduling.

  • No-Shows & Late Cancellations: If you cancel within less than 24 hours or fail to show up for your scheduled session, you will be charged the full amount, and no refunds will be issued.

  • Tech Requirements: It is your responsibility to ensure you have a stable internet connection and functioning audio/video equipment for the session.

5. Intellectual Property

All content provided through Grit Journals—including but not limited to app code, audio meditations, journal prompts, text, graphics, logos, and digital downloads—is the intellectual property of Alexandra Kozma and is protected by international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of our content without express written permission.

6. User Conduct

When using the Space app or participating in 1:1 sessions, you agree to behave respectfully. We reserve the right to terminate your access to our Services (including canceling future 1:1 sessions without refund) if you engage in abusive, harassing, or inappropriate behavior.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Grit Journals and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of the Services.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hungary, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Budapest, Hungary. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you additionally enjoy the protection afforded to you by mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
